Students will learn different options of designing and creating a pattern for compositions
based on their own source material. This workshop explores different methods of adding
color to fabrics to create vibrant landscapes, and to highlight focal elements. We will also explore
the use of fibers and thread painting to create textures and dimension to complete
your own personal work of art.

- Coloring/painting options for backgrounds and other elements
- Basics of applique and different methods of collage with fabric
1:00p-4:00p Learn about free motion stitching/thread painting; threads and needles, tension settings, stabilizers,
- Demo using heavier weight threads, yarns and bobbin work
- Free motion stitching practice exercises
- Monique will be available to meet individually for any questions, suggestions on personal projects.
